Insanity just looked like way too much impact for the joints, and you'll read a lot about people getting sore knees from it. I dropped 24 of the 40lbs I lost doing that. Others could chase the car down then roll it over. What are your goals I did p90X and it really whipped me into shape.

Fitness Level Insanity is appropriate for all levels from beginner to advanced. Insanity does not require any additional equipment.

Some people are genetic freaks when it comes to body building and cardio some have no cardio at all but could lift the front end of a compact car. If you buy just the base kit, P90X requires you to buy free weights or resistance bands and a chin-up bar, which are included in the higher packages. I've also known guys that were around the same height and weight with 6-7% body fat that ran 2 miles in around 18-19 minutes significantly slower than their counterparts. P90X also has many more strength options, while Insanity has more of an abundance of core crushing workouts. Insanity is cardio conditioning of the likes never seen before. I've known 215 lbs, 6'0" guys who have 4% body fat that can run 2 miles in around 13 minutes. P90X is a total body system that focuses more on muscle development. During non-weight days, youll be crying for some excitement.

P90X doesnt hold a candle to Insanity in terms of intensity. It all depends on your body type and how your body processes waste, stores fat, and builds muscle. Id say Insanity is perfect for someone in good shape who already has strong fitness in other areas like strength, but lacks cardio endurance and wants to improve on that aspect of their fitness. Take a look at our previous post about Insanity vs Insanity Max 30 here Space and Equipment Both P90X and Insanity do not require a significant amount of space. Insanity is great for people who love aerobic exercises such as running and cycling.

That's not a professional opinion, but close enough. This workout program is great if your goal is to shed some pounds and inches. Any amount of exercise will burn fat, but high intensity cardiovascular activities, such as calisthenics, will yield better long term results. I wouldn't say similar results when comparing the two products. There are 12 workouts, and they range from resistance workouts for the major muscle. Whenever people get through one or two rounds of P90X, they look for a program that will spice up their workouts, and that’s exactly what Insanity does Warning, Insanity is SUPER INTENSE There are some workouts that you will burn over a 1,000 calories in an hour, so this isn’t for beginners You have to already be in decent shape to start. Insanity brings you further into anaerobic metabolism than P90X ever would. Its designed to be implemented in three phases, with the end of each phase/month involving a cool down week during which your body is meant to recover from the muscle confusion that the change in workouts is meant to deliver. Insanity is probably better for overall cardio endurance and P90X is probably builds a bit more muscle, but doing either is going to get pretty similar results.Aerobic vs. Neither is vastly superior to the other in different aspects.
